Mark Renfro

I am Mark Renfro, and I specialize in teaching French and Spoken English to students of different age groups and proficiency levels. For the past nine years, I have been helping learners develop strong communication skills through practical, interactive, and personalized lessons. Whether a student is learning French up to the A2 level, improving spoken English for everyday conversations, preparing for examinations, or enhancing professional communication, I focus on creating an engaging learning experience that builds confidence and fluency.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree and have earned a B2-level French Language Certificate from Alliance Française. This certification has strengthened my command of the French language and equipped me with the knowledge to teach students through a structured and effective approach. I believe that language learning should go beyond grammar rules and vocabulary, enabling students to communicate naturally and confidently in real-life situations.

Alongside my teaching career, I am an award-winning filmmaker and screenwriter with two films to my credit. My work in filmmaking has sharpened my communication, storytelling, presentation, and creative thinking skills, all of which enrich my teaching style. I bring these experiences into the classroom by making lessons engaging, practical, and conversation-oriented, helping students become more expressive and confident communicators.

Over the years, I have also worked as a Training Facilitator in various organizations, delivering language and communication training to diverse groups of learners. In addition, I have conducted Train the Trainer (TTT) programs for IT organizations, helping professionals develop effective facilitation and presentation skills. These experiences have given me valuable insight into teaching students from different educational, cultural, and professional backgrounds, allowing me to adapt my methods to suit individual learning needs.

My teaching methodology is structured yet flexible, based on techniques and concepts that I have developed through years of practical teaching experience. Every class is planned with clear learning objectives and includes a balanced combination of grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, listening, speaking, reading, and writing activities. I encourage active participation through conversations, role-plays, real-life situations, and practical exercises that help students use the language naturally rather than simply memorizing rules.

To make learning effective and engaging, I use PowerPoint presentations and a whiteboard to explain concepts clearly and visually. I regularly conduct revision sessions, continuous assessments, and provide constructive feedback so that students can track their progress and steadily improve their language skills. I conduct online classes, making it convenient for learners to access high-quality instruction from anywhere. My goal is to create a supportive and motivating learning environment where every student gains the confidence, fluency, and practical communication skills needed to succeed academically, professionally, and in everyday life.
