About the Class

The Chessology Foundation Program is designed for children and complete beginners who want to learn chess from the basics in a structured, engaging, and practical way. No prior chess experience is required.

Students will start by understanding the chessboard, setting up the pieces, and learning the movement and value of each chess piece. The course then progresses to important concepts such as check, checkmate, castling, en passant, captures, piece development, opening principles, basic tactics, and simple strategies.

Through interactive explanations, chess puzzles, guided exercises, and practical games, students will learn how to identify threats, spot opportunities, calculate simple moves, and make better decisions during a game. Special attention is given to developing concentration, logical thinking, calculation, problem-solving, patience, and confidence.

The objective is not just to teach children how to play chess, but to help them understand why a move is good or bad and gradually develop independent thinking over the board.

What students need: A chessboard and pieces are recommended for offline classes. For online classes, a computer/laptop or tablet with a stable internet connection is preferred.

Prerequisites: No prior chess knowledge is required. The program is suitable for complete beginners and students who know basic piece movements but want to build a strong foundation.

I am also a competitive chess player with FIDE ratings of **1576 Standard, 1577 Rapid, and 1589 Blitz**. I have represented my school, junior college and degree college in chess and won intra zonal Mumbai University multiple times and have won individual chess events at the corporate level.
