In this class, we shall understadd the different cropping pattern and other related concepts like sowing, irrigation, their types etc. Agriculture is a primary activity and is the actual basis of any economy. Most of the population in developing countries like India rely on it for their livelihood.Hence, it has immense impact on the health of the economy as well as society of any country or state. A productive agriculture helps in improving efficiency and state of economy. It also has links with manufacturing bcs any economy shifts from agriculture to.manufacturing and then to service economy. If a healthy and efficient agriculturs is not in practice it harms this natural flow of economy and hence overall growth of a country. It is in this context that we shall understand what is crop and their types or pattern, what is sowing, irrigation, their types and how they can help us achieve the aim of productive and efficient agriculture.
