This course is specially designed to introduce students to the physical conditioning and foundational exercises required for Bharatanatyam. Before learning complex adavus and choreography, it is essential to prepare the body for strength, flexibility, balance, and stamina. This course focuses on classical dance–specific exercises that support correct posture and injury-free practice.
Students will be guided through structured exercises that strengthen the legs, improve araimandi stability, enhance flexibility of the spine and shoulders, and develop coordination between movement and breath.
