Meditation has taken very different forms of understanding and execution over a period of time due to westernisation of the concept of Yogic Sciences. This class aims at simplifying the understanding of meditation and why it is an important part of the routines of modern day humans.
Who is it for?
This class is for all participants in age group 15 years and above. Individuals with comorbidities can join after prior consultation from their doctor.
What will participants learn?
Participants will learn the basics of meditation which starts with what is meditation, why is there a sudden surge in pursuing meditative practices. The class will include:-
- a brief introduction to Yoga
- Difference between Yogic and Non Yogic Practices.
- Different prevalent meditative practices.
- Myths and truths.
- Introduction to Breath Awareness Technique.
Prerequisites for the Class
Participants should bring a comfortable mat and wear comfortable clothes. Those who can't sit on floor can use a chair with back support. Participants with sciatica can use a cushion support.
