Let , P's present age= 5x & Q's present age= 7x
After 6 years P's age= 5x+6 & Q's age= 7x+6
ATQ, 7x - (5x+6)= 2
7x-5x-6= 2
7x-5x= 2+6
2x= 8
x= 4
So, P's present age= 5×4=20 years & Q's present age= 7×4=28 years
So, total age of P's and Q's present age= 20+28= 48 years.
