I have extensive experience in IELTS training, with a strong focus on helping students improve their overall band score through structured, personalised and practical coaching. I am currently working as an IELTS Trainer with Inlingua and have also worked as IELTS Speaking Evaluator with Leap Scholar, where I assessed students’ speaking performance and provided detailed feedback on fluency, coherence, vocabulary, pronunciation and grammatical accuracy. My teaching approach is student-centred and focused on measurable improvement rather than simply teaching test-taking strategies. I train students across all four IELTS modules—Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking—with particular emphasis on developing the skills required to achieve higher band scores. For Speaking, I conduct mock interviews, provide detailed band-descriptor-based feedback, work on fluency and pronunciation, and help students develop natural vocabulary and well-structured responses. For Writing, I focus on Task 1 and Task 2 structure, idea development, coherence and cohesion, lexical resource, grammatical range and accuracy. I teach students how to analyse questions, plan answers effectively and avoid common mistakes that limit their band score. For Reading and Listening, I train students in question analysis, skimming, scanning, identifying keywords, understanding paraphrasing, managing time and recognising common distractors. As a CELTA-qualified English language professional, I use communicative and interactive teaching techniques rather than relying solely on lectures. My lessons include guided practice, authentic IELTS-style tasks, error correction, personalised feedback and regular assessments. My goal is to make IELTS preparation systematic and engaging while helping each student understand exactly what they need to improve and how to improve it.
