A lot of people would say get the acoustic to begin with I would recommend that you buy electric straight up. Muscles get built up over the time anyways.
For a starter, I would suggest something not very expensive Ibanez GRX40 should b available around 12000 to 15000 mark, and you should b good for 5 or 6 to start.
