I am a Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary, having 35 years of varied Finance experience in the Corporate Sector. I superannuated from Indian Oil in September 2018. After retirement, I have taken up 2 assignments as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in AI Airport Services Ltd and Himalaya Agency. I was working till August 2024. To that extent my experience is current. My initial 4 years post qualification, were with Escorts JCB Ltd as Internal Auditor and Company Secretary. I have had extensive experience in Accountancy related areas like Management of Accounting Operations, Accounts Finalization, Audit Coordination, Management of Accounts Receivables & Payables, Vendor payments, Budgeting, Costing, Banking & Bank Reconciliations, Funds Management & Cash Flow Analysis, Inter Company & Control Account Reconciliations, Taxation & GST compliances, Financial Analysis & Planning, preparation of MIS Reports etc, all of which required a thorough knowledge of Accountancy and Accounting principles and concepts, and attention to detail. My knowledge of Accountancy has been continually getting updated over the years, with my varied experience of 35 years serving as a Chartered Accountant & Company Secretary in the Corporate sector. I had graduated from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University and had pursued Economics (Honours) in Economics, securing 57.5%, in the year 1978. I did my entire schooling from St Columbas High School, New Delhi, securing a 1st Division in my Senior Cambridge, in Science & Commercial Studies. I am now exploring the possibility of making a career in teaching post retirement. And Urbanpro offers the platform for online teaching. So at this point of time, when I have retired from active service in the Corporate sector, I would like to put my knowledge, professional qualifications and 35 years of varied Finance experience in Corporate sector to good use, by pursuing teaching as a career. I have always been inclined towards academics.During my tenure in Indian Oil, I have imparted training in Finance, as internal faculty, in various in house training programmes. I have always had a passion for teaching, and have helped friends / associates, by sharing Finance knowledge with them, or helping their wards pursuing Finance related courses like B.Com or CA, in their studies, on pro bono basis. My top preference, to start with, would therefore be for teaching Accountancy to CBSE students in class 12, 11 or 10 or B.Com 1st year students, because of my conceptual clarity and sound knowledge of Accountancy, by virtue of my being a CA & CS and my extensive Finance experience of 35 years in the Corporate sector. I would also be open to teaching Business Studies and Economics to CBSE Commerce students, and Maths to CBSE Commerce Class 11 students.
