I am a post graduate in MSc Botany. Eagerly looking for tutor position. My research experience includes an MSc project on algal biostimulant activity using chlorella strain KM18 a4 extract to enhance seed germination, early growth of plants and shelf-life estimation of algal extract and BSc project on physicochemical properties and antioxidant activities of avocado pulp and extraction of fruit peel pectin with conventional extraction method.
I have also gained valuable experience in tools and techniques in biotechnology and bioinformatics through an internship on DNA, RNA & plasmid isolation, amplification & sequencing analysis, molecular cloning, gene expression analysis and primer designing held at Omicsgen Lifescience pvt Ltd, Kalamassery. I have hands-on experience with various bioinformatics tools, including MEGA, PHYLIP, ClustalW, FASTA, and BLAST, which have enabled me to perform phylogenetic analysis, multiple sequence alignment, and sequence similarity searches. Additionally, I have participated in hands on workshops on biodiversity conservation, angiosperm taxonomy, cryopreservation, modern techniques in plant identification, and advancements in plant sciences. I had been awarded Mrs. Aleykutty Mammen endowment scholership for academic excellence. I have been selected as peer mentor of the Botany department during my graduation for my communication and leadership skills. My academic skills in lab procedures and data analysis, including experience with bioinformatics tools will enable me to design, conduct, and analyze experiments.In addition to my technical skills, I had completed certificate programs in Pharmacognosy and Excel. My soft skills, including teamwork, innovative thinking, problem solving, and effective communication, will enable me to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
