I have several years of experience teaching Spoken English to learners from diverse age groups and backgrounds, ranging from young students to working professionals and adult learners. My primary focus has always been on building confidence, clarity, and fluency in real-life communication rather than limiting learning to textbook English. In my Spoken English classes, I emphasize practical usage of the language. Learners are encouraged to speak from the very first session through structured speaking activities such as role-plays, extempore speaking, Just-a-Minute (JAM) sessions, picture descriptions, situational dialogues, and group discussions. These activities help students overcome hesitation, improve pronunciation, and develop the habit of thinking in English. I design my sessions to be highly interactive, ensuring that every learner gets enough speaking time and personalized feedback. I have worked extensively on improving learners’ core communication skills such as sentence formation, vocabulary building, pronunciation, intonation, and everyday conversational expressions. Special attention is given to common grammatical errors made during speaking, and I provide simple correction techniques without interrupting the flow of conversation. My approach is supportive and non-judgmental, which helps learners feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. For adult learners and working professionals, I focus on functional English required for workplace communication, including introducing oneself confidently, participating in meetings, expressing opinions, handling phone conversations, and speaking in professional settings. I also conduct fluency-building activities, theme-based discussions, and situational speaking tasks that mirror real-life scenarios. For students, I integrate creative speaking tasks, storytelling, and short presentations to improve articulation and confidence. I have experience conducting Spoken English classes in both online and offline modes. In online sessions, I effectively use digital tools, presentations, and interactive activities to keep learners engaged. I also assign speaking-based homework such as short audio or video recordings, daily conversation practice, and vocabulary usage tasks to reinforce learning beyond the classroom. Overall, my teaching experience in Spoken English has helped learners become more confident, fluent, and expressive speakers. I aim to create a safe, motivating learning environment where students feel encouraged to communicate freely and develop strong spoken communication skills for academic, professional, and everyday life situations.
