Fraudulent practices adopted by Rao IIT Academy, Vinay Kumar Pandey, Yamini Rao and D B Rao. We as parents always want best education for our children and with this thought in mind I got my son enrolled at Rao Junior College of Science, Thane for the academic year 2019-20. We were told that that the college had all the requisite permissions in place, including the index number and considering the feedback received we enrolled my him in college through the government portal and in Rao IIT Academy for getting him coached for IIT JEE. Soon we became aware that the college was just on papers with no principal, no practical’s, no lectures, no infrastructure, no security defeating the purpose of education. The issue was not different for IIT JEE as well with no lectures being scheduled and soon it was understood through media that the Directors had cheated thousands of parents and students throughout India even though huge amount was collected as fees, we paid ` 45,000 & ` 260,000 as college and IIT JEE coaching fees respectively. The reports of this fraud became viral with media reporting the same, it was also understood that the directors were involved in cheating the staff as well as they were deprived of their salaries with dozens of recovery agents thronging their head office to collect their rightful dues. Meanwhile a FIR has also been filed against the directors at Borivali police station under section 406,420,120(0), 506(2) on 25 November 2019.
