Mass is a measure of the amount of matter in an object. The property of matter that measures its resistance to acceleration. Roughly, the mass of an object is a measure of the number of atoms in it. Time of flight: It is the total time for which the object is in flight( remains in air ). Horizontal range: The total distance covered by the body in projectile is called horizontal range. The coefficient of friction is dimensionless (means it has no units) since it is a ratio of two similar quantities. Its purely a number ### Learn More

I am a Mechanical engineering graduate who loves teaching.

A student weak in Maths & Science enthusiastic to learn it can approach me. Students of VI-XII standards & Engineering can contact me.

Explaining the problem/ numerical with the help of real-life example using graphs, videos etc.

I teach in simple ways of approaching/solving sums where rote learning is avoided most of the times.

The force of friction (F^) is the opposing force that comes into play when a body is at rest, tends to move or it is moving over the surface of another body. The force of friction (F^) increases with increase the applied force (F) till it is near the maximum value called limiting value of friction. The force of friction up to the maximum value is static friction because the body remains at the rest position till then with further increase in the applied force causes the frictional force decreases to become constant:. This value of frictional force is called dynamic friction or kinetic friction. Thus force of friction adjusts itself with applied force.
