But, if we drop the marbles on the ground and sort them based on their colour, then it would be easy. In the same way, we can sort the data by grouping them into similar categories. Sorting allows you to rearrange the list of data in a convenient fashion. For instance, if you're using a spreadsheet to maintain all the employee database, and you have to sort them in alphabetical order, you might choose to sort it alphabetically in order to be able to find an employee's phone number quickly. The Sort and Filter button will give you a number of different choices for sorting, based on the information you're tracking the selected cell. read less
