I am assuming that efficiently means in an effortless way to reduce the work or effort on our end. This means that the macros do the simplest tasks, instead of doing it manually, replacing longer shortcut combinations and avoiding or eliminating several clicks. I am going to take the example of what might be the most used macro called Filters/Freeze. This macro applies filters and freezes the rows. If the filters are on for that row, it clears or filter. If there's a frozen section of cells, it clears and refreezes the top row. It is often used by everyone, mainly because it saves a lot of time when you're working on a massive amount of data. Another great example is that macro which is used to write, simply adds the full name (i.e. path and workbook name) to your clipboard so that you can paste it elsewhere. You can add it in you Quick Access Toolbar, so just by pressing Alt+9 you can access it easily. This is useful because often when you move between Excel VBA and Python, it quickly allows you to plug a workbook into either Pandas DataFRame or X wings reference. These are two of the many available macros. read less
