Basically, Excel created for large and complex calculations. Moreover, many features have been added time to time and are getting upgraded. now you can share the file online and track real-time. VBA is also a part of excel you can do a lot of automation works, schedulings, daily tasks, scraping data from websites sending emails, working with files and folders, creating or renaming files or folders lot of works even you can convert the image into text using VBA scripts. Apart from that you will be having addins where you can get special accessibility of the excel like you don't have formulas like regular expressions. With the help of addins you will get regex functions and formulas in excel. Excel also have a userforms where you can create an application and create nice dashboards and software also. You can connect or integrate data from websites or other data bases its updates on real-time in excel sheets. read less
