It can be, depending on your situation. If you want a job which requires building complex Excel workbooks then, of course, you will need to learn that. If you are asking because you want to learn some new computer language just in case, it’s useful, or because you think it might look good on your resume, then you must learn the fact that VBA is not a simple language to learn. It is easy to have the details slip away from you if you are not using it fairly frequently. It Is also to be known that VBA is the back end coding platform for Excel. Professionals who are in commerce, science and even teachers can benefit from learning VBA. So, the answer is yes; every minute you invest in learning VBA is worth it. The whole point of VBA is to make life easier and can make your life more robust. If not VBA then make an effort to at least learn some front end functions. Hope that helped you decide if it’s worth it or not FOR YOU. Learning new things isn’t always beneficial. Learn something that you think will help you advance and make a difference in your life.
