IdentityI worked in Samtse College of Education as a senior lecturer in English since 08 March, 2007 to 04 April, 2016, preceded by being a senior teacher in English in various Higher Secondary Schools in Bhutan since 03 April, 1986.
I have been a passionate teacher and teacher educator in English language, phonetics, poetry, and drama etc. A member of the College Research Committee, I presented as many as nine research papers in national and international research seminars. I resourced many National English language and literature workshops, besides being a member of the English Language Subject Committee, National Curriculum Division, Bhutan.
• I advised the student teachers in carrying out the 'academic adoption' of Primary school children of the nearby school for two years.
• Edited and helped publish creative writings (books) by students - at least one book per year.
• Initiated the publication of the Reading Club magazines.
• Advised the student teachers on social projects such as EED, Piggy Bank, Pedagogic mantra, and World Days.
I worked as an officiating Principal of a school, national exam question setter and answer scripts evaluator, curriculum developer, academic researcher, supervising lecturer and Focal person to the teaching Practice students, HOD. I have written more than a score of educational articles in public media, in addition to authoring four books - two available as e-books.
