Ritika G. - Experienced UPSC coaching tutor with 3 mains and 2 interviews

I am a passionate and dedicated tutor with 2 years of teaching experience, specialising in Economics and Geography for students in Classes 10, 11, and 12. I also provide coaching for the UPSC Civil Services Examination, covering various subjects and Anthropology as an optional subject. My teaching approach focuses on developing a strong conceptual understanding, encouraging analytical thinking, and helping students prepare systematically for their examinations. I believe that effective learning comes from understanding the fundamentals, connecting ideas, and applying knowledge confidently in different academic situations.

I have completed my Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree, which has helped me develop analytical thinking and a structured approach to problem-solving. My academic background, combined with my experience preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination, has contributed to my understanding of different subjects and their practical applications. I am passionate about sharing the knowledge I have gained and helping students approach challenging topics with clarity and confidence. I continuously strive to make my classes informative, organised, and aligned with each student's learning objectives.

My journey towards teaching began after I worked at Walmart and subsequently started preparing for the UPSC Civil Services Examination. During my preparation, I developed an in-depth understanding of various subjects, their interconnected concepts, and the importance of systematic study. This experience helped me recognise the challenges aspirants face while preparing for competitive examinations. I now provide private coaching to UPSC aspirants, helping them strengthen their subject knowledge, improve conceptual clarity, and develop effective preparation strategies according to their individual requirements.

In Economics, I focus on helping students understand fundamental concepts, economic principles, important theories, and their relevance to real-world situations. I explain topics in a structured manner and use relevant examples to make abstract ideas easier to understand. In Geography, I help students develop a clear understanding of physical and human geography, geographical processes, important concepts, and the relationships between people and their environment. For school students, I aim to strengthen subject fundamentals, improve answer-writing skills, and prepare them to approach examinations with confidence.

For UPSC Civil Services Examination preparation, I provide guidance across the relevant subjects and offer specialised support in Anthropology as an optional subject. I focus on helping aspirants understand the syllabus, organise their preparation, identify important topics, and develop a consistent study routine. My approach emphasises conceptual clarity, structured revision, analytical thinking, and the ability to present answers effectively. I understand the importance of a well-planned preparation strategy and work towards helping aspirants use their study time productively while building confidence throughout their preparation journey.
One of my notable achievements is being a national-level chess player. This experience has strengthened my analytical thinking, strategic planning, patience, concentration, and problem-solving abilities. I bring these qualities into my teaching by encouraging students to approach questions logically, examine different perspectives, and work through difficult concepts systematically. I follow a student-focused teaching methodology that includes lesson planning, interactive sessions, clear explanations, and regular discussions. I also use PowerPoint presentations to organise information, highlight important concepts, and make lessons more engaging and easier to revise.

I conduct online classes and adapt my teaching methods according to the student's academic level, preparation stage, and learning goals. I believe that every student benefits from a structured plan, individual attention, consistent practice, and an environment where doubts can be discussed openly. My aim is not only to help students perform well in their examinations but also to develop independent thinking, effective study habits, and the confidence to handle challenging questions. Through my guidance in Economics, Geography, and UPSC preparation, including Anthropology, I strive to support students and aspirants in making steady progress towards their academic and competitive examination goals.
