IdentityI am an aerospace engineer with strong passion towards bharathanatyam. I have started practicing dance
at the age of 4 under the tutelage of Vidhushi Smt Lakshmi Gururaj of NrityaNikethana ® Kodavoor,
Udupi. Having practiced the Pandanallur style of bharathanatyam for over two decades now I still
pursue it as my passion and hobby. I have completed my Junior, senior and vidhwath exams from
Karnataka Secondary Education Examination board with outstanding results and was selected for the
state level baala prathibhe conducted by Kannada samsrkruthi Ilake after clearing the district and zonal.
For the past two years, I have been appointed as one of the KSEE bharathanatyam practical examiner
for the Junior, senior and vidwath exams.
Over 600 performances were given all over south India along with my troupe including the kannada
sahitya samelanas, mahamasthakaabishekas, alvas nudisiris, national sound and light show, spirit of
unity concerts and many more temple festivals. I have even won several awards in the dance
competitions all over India.
During my post graduate study, I used to perform on few occasions in Central western regions of United
Kingdom. Currently, I work in General Electric Aviation, Istanbul as a thermal system engineer. I
spread our art and culture by delivering this art form to several aspiring students in Istanbul through
“Durga Dance Kumpanyasi” and have performed in regions in and around Istanbul.
