Dr. Devadas Bhat P

I am a materials scientist and educator with a strong academic and professional background spanning research, teaching, and curriculum development. He earned his Ph.D. in Materials Sciences from the University of Lille, France, where he developed magnesium-based alloys for biomedical applications, following an M.Tech. in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from IIT Madras and a B.Tech. from NITK Surathkal. His research has led to multiple publications in reputed international journals and contributions to book chapters across materials science domains. Professionally, he has served as Temporary Faculty at NITK Surathkal (2019–2023), Ad-hoc Faculty at NIT Calicut (2023), and currently contributes as a board member in the Government of Karnataka’s Skill Development Program for designing advanced welding systems curricula. Alongside metallurgy, he also teaches competitive-level Chemistry for Class XII aspirants of KCET, JEE, and NEET. His experience includes teaching a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, mentoring students, and serving on administrative and accreditation committees. A lifetime member of EMSI, IIM, and MRSI, and reviewer for several reputed journals, Dr. Bhat combines a passion for research with a deep commitment to teaching and skill development.
