The government of Tamil Nadu does not accept Hindi as a compulsory language for its citizens or in its state-run educational system. This official position is an outcome of a long history of anti-Hindi imposition movements, which have been a central part of the state's politics for decades. The issue is not whether Tamil citizens should accept the language, but whether the government should mandate it.

Because it is not having translated names for new inventions or day-to-day used things. Instead of translating things, people just use the English terms or foreign language terms. Government is also not taking any steps for it; Instead of imposing Hindi on non-Hindi people, government can modernise Hindi.
