You will require equivalancy certifications or qualifications in the respective jurisdiction. For in house job it may be not necessary. Many Indian lawyers work in Middle East as in house lawyers. However, there are certain MNCs which prescribe LLM atlest from a particular country as a mandatory qualification. If you are talking about practicing International Law, while there is no such special qualification, you may require a deep understanding of International law and its systems and therefore an LLM in International Law or related studies is preferred. I know persons who pursuesd MA in international relations from UK after LLB and now pursuing practice in International Law. read less
