Concept Classes
1) Draw the circle of radius 6cm with center O
2) Draw a radius and extend it outside till P such that OP = 10cm
3) Draw a perpendicular bisector on OP to intersect at M
4) With OM or OP as radius, draw a circle with center M to intersect the previous circle at A and B
5) Join PA and PB
PA and PB are the required tangents.

First draw a line BC=6 cm.
At point B, using a proctactor measure an angle of 60º and mark a point say P.
Now join B and P and extend the line for a length of more than 5 cm.
with the help of a rounder mark point A on the line BP with a measurement of 5cm.
Now join AC.
There we have ΔABC.
Now construcy the second triangle whose sides are 3/4 th of the ΔABC.
to do that, draw a line BC which should be 3/4 times of 6cm.
BC=3/4×6 =4.5 cm and also AB=3/4×5=3.75 cm.
Repeat the above steps we used to construct the first triangle taking the new BC and AB values.

To divide a line segment of 7.6 cm into two parts in the ratio 5:8, the segment is divided into a total of 5+8=13 parts.
The length of each part is 7.6 cm/13 ≈0.5846cm
2.923 cm+4.677 cm≈7.6 cm
