A galvanic cell is a kind temporary energy cell. In it, simultaneous oxidation and reduction (known as Redox reaction) take place at two different terminals. The anode is Zn(Zinc) where oxidation happens, and Cathode is Copper(Cu) where oxidation occurs. Due to the liberation of the electron, it flows through circuit known as the flow of Current. So, it's a current source!
