A lot depends on your background and how comfortable you are in maths and English because these two subjects are the game changer when it comes to mains. If you are well versed with the basics then dedicating 2-3 hours every day will suffice else you have to give more quality time. The practice holds the key, and once you are finished with preparations, you should provide as many mocks as possible to assess your preparation. Accuracy matters a lot and cuts off is increasing day by day, so you have to be at your best. It's challenging but not impossible.
