IdentityI have an undergraduate degree in Psychology, which has helped me understand how differently students learn and why some struggle more than others in conventional academic settings. This training allows me to work patiently and thoughtfully with students facing academic difficulties, including attention-related challenges such as ADHD. Instead of seeing these as limitations, I focus on adapting the learning process to suit the student.
I believe that teaching works best when it is personalised. Before I begin teaching, I take time to understand how a student learns by using tools like the VARK questionnaire to identify their preferred learning style. Whether a student learns better through visuals, discussion, reading, or hands-on activities, I adjust my approach so the material feels more accessible and less overwhelming.
Alongside my degree, I have led academic presentations, volunteered as a peer tutor, and provided private tuition to school students within my community. These experiences, combined with my academic achievements as an ISC School Topper, State-Level award recipient, and undergraduate scholarship holder and rank holder, reflect my genuine interest in teaching, inclusive learning, and helping students build confidence in their abilities.
