Hi, I'm currently pursuing my Ph.D in Geological Sciences and I reside in Kolkata, India. I am an avid book lover and primarily a Bharatanatyam practitioner from Kolkata with a 15 year plus experience of learning in the field of classical dance.
I'm currently working on achieving two Guinness Book of World records dance events in August, 2021 and October, 2021 respectively under the able guidance of Gurus Shri Madurai R. Muralidharan and Kavya Muralidharan.
I'm also currently practicing for the past 1 year at Antarshaala (the online streaming platform of Upadhye School of dance, Bangalore) under the able tutelage of internationally acclaimed artists and Gurus Shri Parswanath Upadhye, Smt Shruti Gopal and Shri Adithya PV.
I have also successfully participated in different workshops under internationally acclaimed artist and Guru Rukmini Vijayakumar and very well known and popular artists like Simran Sivakumar, Rachna Rao and Snehalata Yarabati.
I have previously been tutored in the Kalakshetra baani of Bharatnatyam by Guru Smt. Utsa Ghosh Kundu. My journey as a child in Bharatnatyam had started under the guidance of Guru Smt. Anita Mullick at Saraswat Academy, Kolkata.
I also have some working knowledge in the ancient art form of Kalaripayattu.

I begin my classes with warm up exercise sessions for stretching the muscles, for injury preventions, for enhancing mobility and flexibility of the hips, hamstrings and gluteals, knee strengthening and core workouts. This is followed by salutations and prayers ending with the classical Namaskaram. After this comes a basic Adavu session for the Bharatanatyam classes followed by different dance choreographies. The class ends with cool down sessions after hardcore dance practice sessions
This pattern is similar for both basics and intermediate level batches of Bharatanatyam.

I also conduct free movement dance classes once a week (for those interested) to loosen up stiff muscles and enjoy dancing to any number and thus include free movement dance into the practice routine.

We have both online classes and offline classes as per students' convenience.
