I am a professional dance tutor and choreographer with extensive experience in teaching and performing dance. I teach students through UrbanPro and specialise in several dance styles, including Hip-Hop, Kathakali, creative dance, fusion, contemporary, and Rabindra Nritya. My aim is to help students develop their dancing skills while also building creativity, confidence, expression, and stage presence.

I am currently pursuing my Master of Fine Arts (MFA/MVA) from Rabindra Bharati University. I completed my Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Calcutta University in 2024. Along with my academic qualifications, I have completed professional training in dance from Bangiya Sangeet Parishad, including Sangeet Bivakar in 2020 and Sangeet Ratna in Rabindra Nritya in 2022.

I have around 7 years of experience in Rabindra Nritya and 5 years of experience as a dance teacher. During my teaching journey, I have worked with students of different age groups and learning levels. I have also taught junior students at DPS School, which has helped me understand how to make dance learning engaging and enjoyable for younger learners.

Apart from teaching, I have considerable experience in choreography and preparing students for performances. I have choreographed performances for several school and college programmes and have helped students prepare for stage performances, cultural events, and competitions. These experiences have helped me understand how to bring together technique, coordination, expression, confidence, and stage presence while preparing a complete performance.

My teaching approach is focused on helping students learn dance in a comfortable and encouraging environment. I believe dance is not only about learning steps but also about developing rhythm, body coordination, creativity, expression, and confidence. I adjust my teaching according to the student's age, existing skill level, learning pace, and personal goals.

I conduct both online and offline classes and can work with students who are learning dance as a hobby as well as those who want to develop their skills more seriously. I encourage students to practise consistently and gradually improve their technique and performance abilities. I also give importance to helping students feel comfortable while performing, as confidence and expression are important parts of dance.

My goal as a dance teacher is to help every student discover their own style and enjoy the process of learning. Whether a student wants to learn Rabindra Nritya, contemporary, fusion, creative dance, Hip-Hop, Kathakali, or another style that I teach, I aim to provide patient guidance and practical training. Through regular practice, choreography, performance preparation, and personalised attention, I want to help students become more confident and expressive dancers.
