Sourjya Sarkar

I'm currently working on a patent based on one of my own projects, alongside research that's already been accepted at an international conference — so a lot of my work sits right at the edge of "still learning" and "already building something new."

I'm pursuing a Bachelor's in Computer Science with a minor in Math & Statistics, and alongside my degree, I lead the technical team at an innovation and incubation centre, managing the infrastructure and engineering behind our digital systems. I've also built real systems combining machine learning with quantitative finance — including a Bayesian model that generated a 1,190% ROI and an ML-based credit risk assessment tool.

On the teaching side, I've tutored school students in programming and math, and informally mentored college classmates through DSA, algorithms, and coursework during group projects. That mix — real technical work plus a habit of explaining things to people who are stuck — is what I bring into every session.
