It contains high concentration of ozone and ir absorbs most of the Sun's ultraviolet radiation. We can call it as EARTH'S SUNSCREEN. Ozone Hole- It is depletion of ozone due to destruction of ozone by CFCs, Carbon tetrachloride(CCL4), Carbon tetrafluoride(CF4) etc. Depletion of ozone is causing excessive thinning of ozone layer and due to which harmful ultraviolet rays can now reach the surface of earth.
