I have been running my Music School in Bangalore for the last six years and have a good track record of my students successfully being trained to pass beginner and intermediate stages of music exams, with a strong emphasis on correct vocal training. This allows my students to confidently pursue mastery in Indian classical vocal music as well any type of vocal music that they desire to.
During the last year, I have also had the experience of teaching four students online, both from India and abroad, and identified efficient ways to translate musical training into this remote format.

Having been brought up in an environment steeped in music, I have been blessed to learn Hindustani Classical music from extremely prolific vocal musicians, including Niharanjan Bandhopadhyay, Shyamla Bhabe, Pandit Nagraj and Damodar Hota. I am fortunate to have learnt so much about teaching and training the voice from them.
I am a Sangeet Prabhakar in Hindustani Classical music from the Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad, and have a Master's degree in Rabindra Sangeet from Rabindra Bharati University, Calcutta. I was an artist in All India Radio Calcutta for more than five years following my qualifications. I started teaching music twenty years ago both in schools and one-on-one.
