Teaching Experience in detail in Music Theory classes
I have experience teaching music theory to students of different age groups and learning levels, with a strong focus on building a clear theoretical foundation that supports practical singing and musical understanding. My teaching covers core concepts such as notes and scales, intervals, rhythm and time signatures, swaras, alankars, chord basics, pitch awareness, and raga/scale structure, explained in a simple and student-friendly manner. I believe music theory should not feel difficult or abstract, so I relate every concept to practical examples, vocal exercises, and familiar songs. For beginners, I start with the fundamentals and gradually help them understand how theory connects to melody, tuning, and expression. For intermediate learners, I focus on strengthening rhythmic accuracy, scale clarity, and theoretical awareness that improves overall musical confidence. I adapt my teaching method according to each student’s learning speed and ensure concepts are revised regularly through exercises and short assessments. My goal is to help students understand music, not memorize it, so they can apply theory naturally while singing or learning new compositions. I aim to create a supportive and structured learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing a strong musical base.
