Deborshi Halder

I have completed my B. Tech in Biotechnology, but my primary professional journey and passion have always been deeply rooted in Music.
I am a Musician, Performer, Music Educator, Singer, Flutist, Music Arranger, and Sound Designer. I have a strong background in Hindustani Classical Music, particularly in Flute, which is my main instrument and the instrument I have been most closely associated with.
Apart from flute, I am a multi-instrumentalist and regularly play Guitar, Piano, Drums, and various percussion instruments. I also work in music recording, sound designing, music arrangement, and production.
Professionally, I worked with Torrins, a multinational music education organization, for around 3 years as a Drums Instructor and School Lead. I was designated at Gems Akademia International School, which is currently under Narayana International School, Joka.

As a performing musician, I have had the opportunity to play flute in various films and recordings, including songs featuring some established and renowned singers. I have also worked as a session musician and contributed flute performances to different musical projects.

I am also a songwriter and composer. Several of my original songs have already been released, where I have performed as a singer as well. Apart from performing my own compositions, other artists have also performed and recorded songs written by me.

Alongside my professional work in schools and the music industry, I have been teaching music privately for around 8 years, and I continue to teach students. My teaching includes Flute, Drums, Music Theory, and Indian Classical Music, with a strong emphasis on regular practice and developing music as a part of a student's lifestyle.

Overall, my experience combines performance, music education, songwriting, composition, multi-instrumental musicianship, recording, sound designing, and music arrangement, giving me a broad and practical understanding of both the creative and educational sides of music.
