Hello! I’m a Spoken English trainer with a deep passion for empowering learners to find their voice in English—confidently and clearly. I come from a background where English was not the first language spoken at home. I was raised in a non-English speaking family and was the first person in my family to learn how to speak in English fluently. This personal journey has shaped not only who I am today but also how I teach. I know the struggles, the hesitation, and the fear that comes with learning a new language—because I’ve lived it. And now, I help others overcome those same barriers, with empathy and confidence. My schooling was under the CISCE board, and I was also part of the international system of education, which gave me exposure to global standards of communication and expression. My fluency in English was recognized early—I was featured in The Telegraph newspaper for my speaking skills. Later, I had the honour of being invited to speak at the American Center (American Embassy), an experience that deepened my belief in the power of communication. I hold an Honours degree in English Literature from Calcutta University, which has helped me gain both a deep academic understanding of the language and a love for its richness and expression. But beyond academics, what sets me apart is my ability to connect with students who are just beginning their English-speaking journey—because I’ve been there too. Being a first-generation English speaker, I understand the emotional and mental blocks that can come with learning English—especially if your environment doesn’t support it naturally. That understanding helps me tailor my teaching in a way that’s student-friendly, practical, and rooted in real-life use of the language.
