Teaching Experience in detail in Dance classes

I am a trained classical dancer with Ratna certification in Bharatanatyam, having successfully passed the 5th year examination under Sarbabharatiya Sangeet O Sanskriti Parishad. I am currently preparing for my 6th year Bharatanatyam examination (to be presented in 2026), reflecting my continued dedication to this classical art form. In addition to Bharatanatyam, I am trained in Rabindra Nritya and Creative Dance (Sambhu Bhattacharya style). I also possess choreography skills, creating dance pieces for cultural programs, stage performances, and video-based presentations. My choreography focuses on expressive storytelling, musicality, and graceful movement, adapted to the learner’s age and comfort level. I actively share my dance work through my YouTube channel, where I upload performance and choreography videos. This has helped me develop a strong understanding of presentation, rhythm synchronization, expressions, and audience engagement. Managing a dance-focused channel has also enhanced my ability to break down movements clearly and teach step-by-step. I have participated in various school and college-level cultural programs, gaining valuable stage experience and confidence. While I am new to formal professional teaching, I have guided juniors and peers during rehearsals and practice sessions, helping them understand adavus, rhythm, expressions, and choreography. My teaching approach emphasizes strong fundamentals, correct posture, rhythmic accuracy, and expressive clarity. I aim to create a supportive and disciplined learning environment, suitable for beginners to early-intermediate students, through online classes, nurturing both technical skill and artistic expression.

Teaching Experience in detail in Choreography Classes

I have hands-on experience in dance choreography, creating and teaching choreographed pieces for stage performances, cultural programs, and video-based presentations. My choreography work draws from my training in Bharatanatyam, Rabindra Nritya, and Creative Dance (Sambhu Bhattacharya style), allowing me to blend classical technique with expressive and contemporary elements. I have choreographed performances for school and college cultural events and guided fellow dancers during rehearsals and practice sessions. Through this process, I have developed the ability to break down choreography into simple, structured steps, making it easier for learners to understand rhythm, movement transitions, expressions, and spatial awareness. I also run a dance-focused YouTube channel, where I share choreographed dance videos. This experience has strengthened my skills in concept development, musical interpretation, synchronization, and presentation, as well as my ability to teach movements clearly in a step-by-step manner suitable for learners of different levels. My approach to teaching choreography focuses on clarity, creativity, and confidence-building. I adapt choreography according to the student’s age, skill level, and comfort, ensuring that movements are expressive yet technically sound. I encourage students to understand the emotion and story behind the music, not just memorize steps. I am comfortable teaching beginner to intermediate choreography, in online mode, and aim to help students develop stage confidence, musicality, and expressive performance skills through well-structured and engaging choreography sessions.
