What is Biodiversity?

Biodiversity refers of the diversity of life, i.e the variability of species (animals and plants) in the planet. This is also inclusive of the variability within species, between species and also between ecosystems.

because alpha particles are slower then beta particles, which enables it to dissipate its energy more.

Why planets do not twinkle?

"Twinkling"t is due to the light going through multiple refractions in the earth environment, bending the light multiple times, before it reaches our eyes. Since the light reaching us from the starts is very feeble, the refractions destabilizes the focus of the light, and thus keeps moving to and from... ...more

In case of planets, however, the light reaching us is much more, and even after multiple refractions, it reaches us without much deviance in the path of the light, and hence we can have a clear view of the planet, and it does not flicker.
