The following requirements of Article 324 of the Constitution apply to the election commission's composition:
1. The Election Commission will be made up of the chief election commissioner and as many other election commissioners as the president deems necessary.
2. The president appoints the chief election commissioner as well as the other election commissioners.
3. In the event that another election commissioner is appointed, the chief election commissioner will serve as the election commission's chairman.
4. After consulting with the election commission, the president may appoint regional commissioners as he deems necessary to assist the election commission.
