Jadhav Sumit Dhanpal

I have over 5 years of teaching experience in Tabla, including both personal one-to-one classes and group sessions. Having completed my Master’s in Tabla, along with Tabla Visharad and a Diploma in Tabla, I have developed a deep understanding of learning techniques as well as effective teaching methods.

My experience includes teaching students from ages 9 to 65, which has helped me understand how to guide complete beginners as well as students who already have a foundation. I teach the fundamentals of Tabla, its characteristics, daily practice techniques, and advanced playing styles” according to different Tabla gharanas. Along with this, I also train students in traditional Tabla bandishen.

For younger students, I focus on building interest, discipline, and practice habits through engaging sessions. I also ensure that students not only learn Tabla but also gain basic knowledge of other instruments and Indian music, helping them develop a broader musical understanding.
