Tamal Mallick

I am an MBA professional studied from National Institute of Technology- Tiruchirapalli (Trichy) and banker. I worked in a public sector bank i.e. IDBI bank Limited for seven years in the department of Credit Management.
For the past 14 years, I have been teaching the youth and changing their lives forever. I started my tutoring since my college days, alongside my studies. My first student was a high school girl. I started teaching her on request of one of my friends. She was a below-average scorer of her class and was not much interested in her studies. It was not easy to teach her in the beginning. However, I did not give up. Each day, I used to begin my class with five minutes of games to make it fun and provided practical examples in each topic to relate her books with the real world. She started gaining interest and performing well in her class, and at the end of the academic year, she ranked among the top 10 students of her class. This experience made me realise that I can help people with their studies to grow in their career. That is how I began my tutoring career. Since then, I have taught a range of students from various discipline, including high school students, students of bachelor and master studies, aspirants of competitive examinations, and junior bankers. When I was in college, I taught my juniors and classmates as well as some high school students of my locality. During my MBA (Master of Business Administration), I took classes for competitive examinations in a private coaching centre. When I started my professional career as a Credit Manager at an accredited National Bank-IDBI Bank Limited, along with high school and college students, I taught finance and accounting subjects to many of my junior colleagues for their promotion and certification examinations. I also took guest lectures across colleges and delivered workshops. Many of my students have successfully secured jobs in different multinational companies. I will continue teaching until I retire because I believe, “Teachers help others to become their best selves”.
I take classes through both classroom and online modes. Since the beginning of my tutoring career, my students succeeded with exceedingly high rate. All my school, college, and University students passed in first class, and 70% of them passed with distinction. 90% of my banker students who appeared for promotion examination have successfully cleared their exams. 95% of the aspirants of competitive examination successfully achieved their goals. I found teaching quite interesting. The best part of teaching is to see people learn and observe how education changes their lives. I guide students more like as a mentor and less like as a spoon-feeder; as Michael Josephson once said, “Any teacher can show students how to count; great teachers show them what counts”. My students are always satisfied with my teaching, and all the old students are still in my contact.
