What is the difference between a keyboard's unison and poly mode?

I teach freestyle and staff notations in keyboard and guitar from absolute beginner to intermediate.

Poly means it can play multiple notes at once. Mono means it can only play one note at a time. Paraphonic means multiple notes at once through some shared components (e.g 1 filter). Unison is a feature of polyphonic synths where multiple voices sound at once in response to a single key being pressed.

Your question itself is not correct. A chord is when 2 or more keys are pressed on the keyboard. A triad is a chord when the 1st, 3rd and 5th notes of a scale are played together. e.g if C,E & G keys are pressed together the C triad (chord) played.
