Harsh academy

I am the founder of Harsh Academy, an institution focused on providing quality education and strong academic support to students, particularly those studying in Classes 11 and 12. I have been running the institute since 2011, and over the years, our goal has remained consistent: to help students develop a strong understanding of their subjects and become more confident in their academic abilities. I primarily teach Mathematics for Classes 11 and 12.

Our Mathematics programme is designed to help students understand concepts rather than simply memorise formulas or follow fixed methods. Mathematics requires clarity, logical thinking, and regular practice, so I focus on explaining the reasoning behind different concepts and methods. Once students understand the fundamentals, I help them apply those concepts to different types of questions and gradually improve their problem-solving abilities.

I have around 15 years of teaching experience, along with an M.Sc. in Mathematics. This combination of academic knowledge and extensive classroom experience has helped me understand the common difficulties students face while learning Mathematics at the senior secondary level. I try to identify these gaps early and provide explanations and practice that are appropriate to the student's level and learning needs.

At Harsh Academy, we currently have two faculty members. I handle Mathematics for Classes 11 and 12, while another experienced faculty member teaches Science subjects. Together, we bring around 15 years of teaching experience each to our respective areas. This allows us to provide students with subject-specific guidance while maintaining a consistent focus on conceptual understanding, regular practice, and academic progress.

My teaching approach is structured and student-focused. I generally begin with a clear explanation of the concept, followed by solved examples and practice questions. Students are encouraged to work through different levels of problems so that they can understand how a concept can be applied in different situations. I also conduct regular doubt-solving sessions and assessments to identify areas that need additional attention.

I use PPT presentations and a digital whiteboard as part of my teaching methodology. These tools help me explain mathematical concepts in a clear and organised way and make it easier to work through problems step by step. I also believe that interaction is important during a class, so I encourage students to ask questions, clarify their doubts, and actively participate rather than passively listening to the lesson.

A major focus of our institution is preparing students for their board examinations as well as competitive examinations. I help students strengthen their fundamentals, practise different question patterns, improve their problem-solving speed, and develop the confidence required to approach challenging questions. Through regular assessments, feedback, practice, and individual attention wherever required, my aim is to help students make steady academic progress and build a strong foundation in Mathematics.
