As someone with seven years of teaching experience, teaching has been a fulfilling career for me. My journey as a teacher started in 2013 when I joined SBS public school as a computer and English subjects teacher. Here, I discovered my passion for teaching and realised I wanted to make a career out of it. After completing my B. Ed and CTET, I decided to specialise in teaching Abacus, a subject that I found challenging and fascinating. I spent two years honing my skills in Abacus teaching and acquiring the necessary certifications to be an expert in this field.
One of the main reasons I was drawn to teaching was my family background. Both my parents and grandparents were teachers, and growing up, I saw how much they enjoyed their work and how rewarding it was for them. I am working at International Academy, where I teach Abacus classes online. My classes are forty minutes long and are highly interactive and practical-oriented. Students learn best when actively engaged in the learning process, and I strive to create an environment that encourages participation and creativity.
My classes provide students with the necessary tools and resources to succeed. These resources are designed to make learning Abacus fun and accessible, and I believe they have helped my students achieve their full potential. One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is seeing my students grow and develop their skills over time. It is incredibly fulfilling to watch them master new concepts and techniques and see their confidence and self-esteem grow.
