Experience in School or College
My experience as a faculty member in a college has been really meaningful and full of learning, not just for my students but for me as well. Teaching, for me, is not just about finishing the syllabus, it’s about connecting with students and helping them grow in their own way. Every class feels different because every group of students is unique. Some are very active and ask a lot of questions, while others are quiet and take time to open up. I’ve learned that when students feel comfortable, they start participating more and become more confident. Seeing that change in them, even in small ways, is one of the best parts of my job. I also really value the small interactions I have with students outside the classroom. Sometimes they come to talk about their studies, and sometimes about their future or personal concerns. Being someone they can talk to and trust makes this role very special to me. Of course, the job is not always easy. There is a lot to manage, including classes, lesson planning, assignments, and deadlines. At times, it can feel a bit overwhelming, especially when trying to meet the needs of every student. But these challenges have helped me become more patient and better at managing my time. What keeps me going is seeing my students improve over time. When they understand something they once struggled with or become more confident in themselves, it gives me a lot of satisfaction. Even small progress feels like a big achievement. Overall, being a faculty member has been a very rewarding experience. It has helped me grow as a teacher and also as a person, and I continue to learn something new every day.
