Math becomes tough only because unlike words we deal with numbers and variables, that can be difficult for children to understand. Most students don't like maths is because they have ben the victim of rote learning, not actually understanding the reason for framing a linear or quadratic equations. This later shows up in subjects that require strong foundations in mathematics, such as computer science. As we progress we will realize how important is foundations when a child is growing up.
