You have to make your choice of profession you want to be after your studies. Being a MBA professor I feel, students doing MTech after BTech can pursue a profession in teaching as well as in research, there are plenty of engineering institutes where you can make your career and prosper.
Students doing MBA after BTech firstly divert one from their basic studies, and find it difficult with subjects like finance, as it is a technical subject they have never studied. And outcome is they choose Marketing or HR or Operations. Whereby again, the corporate industry which is related to their core studies i.e. B-Tech are the ones who prefer them over other industrial segments.
For example, an Automobile manufacturing organisation for marketing would be hiring a B.E. MBA and not B.Com MBA, and same time a Financial Stock broker would be hiring a B.com over B.E. Every organisation wants core competencies of the employee to be related to their business today, rather than teaching as well as paying them.

Scope of HR in the Indian Market has been always green. As the numbers of the business organisations are been formed and growing every day, so is the requirement of HR professionals in the country. Only limitation is that team of HR is always small in size when compared to Finance & Marketing.
When you looking for options in courses, both have the same acceptance, as it will be the Post Graduation Degree that will be considered by the industry.
In case if you choose a course other than BBA, then probably the industry related to your graduation course would be the first to show their acceptance towards you during their recruitment process.
