Neelu

I was born and brought up in Kakinada and began my education in Telugu medium government institutions. Transitioning to the University of Hyderabad, where English was the sole medium of instruction, was initially a challenge but soon became my passion. Through perseverance and resilience, I overcame language barriers and established myself as a respected English educator.
With 22 years of teaching experience, I have contributed extensively to English Language Teaching through innovative methodologies, curriculum design, and mentorship. I am a certified TESOL trainer and British Council Master Trainer, having delivered guest lectures, faculty development programs, and teacher training initiatives. My research includes 12 paper presentations at national and international conferences, along with authoring a book and chapters on English language teaching and AI-based pedagogy.
Beyond academia, I have refined textbooks, designed handbooks, and edited university brochures, while also organizing language contests, cultural events, and academic programs to support holistic student development. My interests span comparative literature, technical writing, employability skills, and integrating AI into pedagogy. I actively train students in language, soft skills, and personality development to prepare them for real-world applications.
Alongside academics, I am a singer and anchor, having performed with artists such as A.R. Rahman’s flutist Naveen and actor Sameer. A highlight of my journey was being praised by lyricist Chandrabose, who compared my energy and charm to popular anchor Suma.
My journey reflects passion, perseverance, and purpose—from a Telugu medium background to becoming a distinguished educator, researcher, singer, and speaker. I continue to blend creativity with academic rigor, inspiring students and audiences alike.
