Apache Spark has Java ,Python,Scala ,R API . We can prefer any one API depends on the programming background knowledge . The Application what we design using SCALA , we can do using JAVA API .Spark has been developed using Scala and Scala has been build using JAVA ie we get JAVA API.

For people who can code in both languages, Scala will enable a level of concision that Java will not. But, for people who are more comfortable with Java, there's no strong reason to learn a new language just for Spark programming. read less
