The Java API is the set of classes included with the Java Development Environment. These classes are written using the Java language and run on the JVM. The Java API includes everything from collection classes to GUI classes.

Main source if information on Java is oracle documentation. But it takes your time to read through, a lot more than you expect. Better prefer a trainer who can give what you need.

Only one. After line 8 the original object referred to by x2 is dereferenced and ready for garbage collection. In m1(), mx ignores the object passed as argument and refers to a new object which is returned.
