The interviewers will look for your problem solving skills and not which language you are using. No one cares about what programming language you use as long as you are able to come with a proper solution.

Yes you can. Coding does not matter which language you prefer, it is how you achieve the result. The main things are time complexity and space complexity. These two factors describes your proficiency on programming.
